What is it? - Royall - 03-02-2007 Got up this morning and looked at one of the banana trees and half of a left was gone! It looked like someone took a knife and run it down the center of the leaf and it just curled up. I unrolled the leaf and found a big pale colored caterpillar inside. What is and what do you do to keep then from coming back? Royall What goes around comes around! RE: What is it? - mikewj - 03-02-2007 Hi Royall: Here's a link which may be helpful. don't know if this is the caterpillar that you found, but he's an interesting looking (scroll down) little bugger. http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/banana/msg041510052798.html?5 RE: What is it? - Royall - 03-02-2007 Thanks for the link but that's not the little s**t. This one is all one pale color. Maybe green? It is also about 2-2 1/2 inches long and about 1/4" fat. Royall What goes around comes around! I remember seeing it when I was a kid. http://www.geocities.com/rainforest/vines/2382/hesperiidae/thrax.htm Edited by - bystander on 03/02/2007 07:26:18 RE: What is it? - Royall - 03-02-2007 Thanks for the link bystander, that's the little bugger!
