hyjacking punaweb user name - Orchidlandguy - 11-06-2011
My punaweb user name (Orchidlandguy) has been hyjacked by a Puna owned blog.
There is a current blog coming from Puna that has someone submitting comments under my made up punaweb member id (Orchidlandguy).
I was emailed about this and have seen this site which is full of pornograpic drawings that the owner calls cartoons.
I would like others to know that I am not posting on that blog.
Someone has hyjacked my punaweb user name and it is not me posting.
The comments that this fake Orchidlandguy made do
sound like it is something I would say, but it is not me posting. Weird. Maybe there are not enough comments or responses so the owner of this blog decided to make up responses from Punaweb members? I don't know.
On another thread here on punaweb Obie posted WRONGLY that I, Orchidlandguy, was also posting on Trip Advisor. I have tried to trace this down and can't find the posts OB is talking about, but this is also a hyjack of my made up Punaweb name. I don't even read Trip Advisor. I don't travel for fun and have no vacation rentals. I don't even know how to find whatever posts OB is accusing me of posting there. So I am at a disadvantage, since I have not seen whatever someone posted under my name. To clear this up: I HAVE NEVER POSTED ON TRIP ADVISOR. I am again assuming that (like the post on the above Puna owned blog) this Trip Advisor poster also sounds like me. All I can say is it is NOT ME. I could care less about Trip Advisor.
This is a concern because the ONLY place I use this name that I made up (Orchidlandguy) is HERE, on punaweb.
So, the conclusion is that someone who is either a member of punaweb community or a lurker reading punaweb has now taken to using my name to post as me on other blogs/sites.
WHY ??? Another form of intimidation from the vindictive bully gang?

Why should he have to do that. It should not be necessary and it would be too easy for the fools stealing his name to steal his fix. Sorry Pog but I did as you suggested and went back to read previous posts by Mr. Rabi and I don't like what I see. There seems to be small group who have a major problem with this board and he is one of them. I would never do business with someone who puts up a vote about didoes or who takes the personna of a very mean goat. No, this is not a good man. There are plenty of good real estate people on the island without having to support what I see in this man.

Still nothing better for you to do? No youth sports to volunteer at? No food delivery programs for the elderly to get involved in? You don't wanna hang a punching bag in the carport and go a few rounds? Maybe go on a wild fruit picking trip? Weed whack the bushes near the street? Seriously? Your " boo-hooing" that your name was "stolen"? You act like your some kind of famous "star". Nobody gives a rip about "OLG". Your not special, your not important, your not relevant and I swear if you dropped dead today? Only a handfull of people would care. Your best move would be to "lurk" for a while. Relax, chill out and get over yourself. You should seriously consider unplugging your computer. You post like an insane person " they stole my name!" did you " brand" OLG like the word "Nike" or "Apple" and maybe I'm not just "in the loop"? ]More seriously, hijacking a username is all about context. The spelling WAS messed with, but that's irrelevant. The context is, faux reply by faux Orchid Landguy was in reference to a post about Orchidlandguy of Punaweb. Specifically named. Setting up a fake dialogue that people here might well think Orchidlandguy participated in.
Similarly, the impersonation of my name included references to my personal address, my specific family members, specific posts that I had made on a Big Island forum -- but then a bunch of stuff was posted that I would never say.
That's where the context part comes in that takes it to the level of impersonation.
I'm not trying to perpetuate drama, but it's not about how many thousand variants of the name exist if one googles. It's about the details that are associated with one person who posts on a specific site.
All Orchidlandguy is trying to do here is say, hey, FYI, someone is pretending to be me, and it isn't me.

Actually, I do a lot of volunteering. I also do NOT live on the computer as is evidenced by how little I post and only on one flrum (here, punaweb).
Maybe you should get a little joy in your life. You sound spiteful and angry. I have never said or done anything to you. I have never even commented to one of your posts. why start flaming me?
All I wanted to say is that someone is posting under the same name I use here on punaweb and I wanted to make sure nobody thought it was me giving any comments to the pornographic drawings on the other site. It was FYI, not to start any fights.

This was a FYI only. Just wanted to say I am not the poster on the other sites. So if you see the made up name of Orchidlandguy under any spelling I just wanted to have it known this is someone else not me. That's all. no hidden meaning.
