New questions Help with solar ?
#31
I went with SunRun (Revolusun) and I oversized my system and have a $20.50 HELCO bill every month. I am very happy with my system. However, I would highly suggest that you also speak with Scott over at GexPro. He had the best prices of anyone that I spoke with if you purchase the system out right. Unfortunately, I didn't speak to him until after I had already signed up for SunRun.

Recent irony regarding Chinese solar PV panels. Beijing is going through a smog-pocalypse the past few weeks, noted by several photographs:

The primary reason is China is going full scale coal for a lot of their electric power, and with non filtering stacks. The reason they need to burn so much coal? Electricity for manufacturing. And one of those industries is manufacturing solar PV panels. Solar panels require huge amounts of electricity, as well as fresh water, to be consumed at their source so that they may provide "free, clean" energy at their final locations.

Price the panels and the inverters on ebay and then figure how much the stamps and permit cost. The rest is a day or two of labor and a lot of profit. The bottom line is cost per watt.
Shoot for $4.00 + or -.

Anybody use ProVision or know anybody who did?

We are doing a grid tie system.
If we don't go with SunRun/Revoluson they take on all the maintenance. With a grid tie system, is there that much maintenance that it is worth the extra expense to go with them?

Or can someone with no tech or mechanical inclination easily maintain and who do you call to fix and tweak system if you don't go with the folks who take care of the system (sun run)?
Thanks again for all the help.

Have a friend that used them a few years ago for an off grid system - they would not recommend. SOLARMAN has done their fixes.
