It looks like Hawaii John's is the only game on this side of the island.
I called the Department of Health, because they are the ones who go to your place if a neighbor complains that you don't have a toilet. They gave me the below phone number for Department of Sanitation:
I called 933-0917 and she connected me with the Health Department's engineer yesterday and today to ask what the alternatives are.
Hawaii John's won't come out if you don't rent one of their John's because they said it will ruin their pipes because they add digester. I know I can use an RV toilet and I can buy digester.
Anyone experience any of this? I'll post my results as I go.
edited to add: The engineer's phone went straight to voicemail and I haven't heard back yet.
