development costs
#1
Plan to build on a lot that already has the site prep work done, gravel driveway, house pad etc. What would the typical cost be to drill a well (50 foot depth guessing) plus septic and Helco hook up? $10-$15,000??

Last I heard to drill for water in HPP was $1,000 per foot. If your on Railroad, it would bee 100' to reach water. HELCO hookup to existing poles $7,500.00 per pole, cash up front! No SSPP programs exist anymore.

Why drill a well when water falls from the sky (hint: 10k gallon catchment tank should be about $3k). Since when is there no more SSPP plan? Just did it last year up in Eden Roc. Cess pools might be on the way out. They'd be around $3k as well, but septic sysem's probably more like 10k. Our place required an SSPP proposal, got 2 subscribers (including us) and our share was I think around 7500-10k plus hookup to the house - but free hookup iirc if your house is close enough to the pole(honestly I should look these costs up, but there's a lot of paper to sift through). Might possibly one day see some of that come back, but not holding our breath.
Me ka ha`aha`a,
Mike
