acquiring a lot address
#1
Travel restrictions in the lava emergency zone may require proof of a physical dwelling address to be permitted access to road travel.

Some of us live on lots that do not have a physical dwelling address.

How can we get an address our lot so we can access it during the lava emergency?

thanks.

TMK # should be fine, esp if you have a tax billed addressed to you/your PO box, that shows the TMK

Don't know how picky they might get, but no street address means no permitted dwelling

I have a street address without a permitted dwelling. If only I could remember how and where I got it. Undoubtedly from the county.

It is possible to have a permitted dwelling but no street address, if the dwelling was built prior. We now all have street addresses assigned to our property, even if we don't know what that address is. You can also have an address without a dwelling on it, such as farm lots. Check with the Planning Dept - you can phone them at 961-8288 or the Building Dept. 961-8331
