A month ago I sent a message through the http://orchidland.org/support/ "help desk" where they assign a ticket number to your inquiry such that it's easy to track the response.
This was my question:

Please can you clarify my bill? It shows a MRMA of $100.00 plus a special assessment of $100.00. Since the M stands for "mandatory" I gather that fee is mandatory. Is the special assessment also MANDATORY?

I never got a response. I checked today and the ticket number system showed no response to my question. I re-sent the question today to support@orchidland.org which is the support email address given on their web site.
So I'm guessing the non-response means that the special assessment is not required.
