who owns Mauna Kea Access Road?

Reni, because DHHL already received $600 MILLION dollars for use of the land, it's not like they received nothing. It's not like that land swap was the missing piece that would have actually put Hawaiians into homes. DHHL has literally had fiscal years with tens of millions in federal grants sitting unused, and zero houses built. Yet slimeball Kahele brings the road up to run out the clock on the TMT and its economic impact, instead of actually helping Hawaiians get homes. WTH is wrong with that guy? Does he think the majority of Hawaiians want to be poor subsistence farmers again, under King Kahele?

geochem - Kam Schools was challenged some years ago for that practice - as a result, I believe that they admitted one Caucasian child and called it good...

(old breaking news) I think it's up to a small handful of non-native Hawaiian students admitted now to Kam schools and don't forget the $7 million settlement made so as to avoid a U.S. Supreme Court review of their race-based admission practices (so still looking for a challenger with the moxie to go the full distance Chuckster)
