Not sure who here this affects, but if you didn’t know, Hawaiian Earth Recycling is upping their commercial price to $20/yard on March 1st.

Is this double dipping? Does the county, ie our tax dollars, pay Hawaiian Earth Recycling to take the waste in the first place?

Yes, but their cost to produce the mulch has probably gone up.   It's incredible how the demand for this product has increased over the years.
