I know this isn't particularly Puna- or Hawaii-related, but I feel this person has touched all our lives with his expertise, humility, and ability to share his knowledge of nature and the world around us. However, I hope you can agree that David Attenborough has touched us all. May he continue to do so.

Nice in this day and age of feral social media that someone can live 100 years, with a long and storied career (including visits to Hawaii and programs about our volcanoes and western islands) - - and most people universally just want to wish him a very happy birthday.
