I have been pondering the potential for a small pocket park in the village. The spot I've been admiring for this purpose is a small triangle of land at the edge of the old town across from Jan's Barber Shop. I believe it is owned by Paul.
Pahoa and Puna are so underserved by Parks and Rec that a smallproject like this should be doable. Just takes some muscle.
