Amy Horst is putting on another terrific performance of
"Meet me at the Moon" coming Jun 8th and 9th at the EHCC starting
at 7:30 P.M.
Tickets are:
Genteral $10.00
Student/Senior/EHCC Members $8.00
This is how Amy describes how she came up with the concept
for this show.
"After the first show we did with Safety Pin Productions, called Show Off!, I knew immediately that I wanted to do another with this talented group of theater producers. Then I heard the song "Meet You At the Moon" by Irish rockabilly singer Imelda May, and suddenly the song itself suggested the show title as well as its theme and look. Very naturally we chose an art deco look for the show, with a 1920s feel for the set and costumes - a natural tie-in to the moon theme. Songs about the moon are so numerous that I ended up with more than I could use, and so this show includes songs from the classical, operatic, Broadway, standards, and pop genres. It seems everyone wants to sing about the moon, or about love, or just sing! I look forward to taking us through time to the roaring twenties and beyond. More than that, Pianist Don Boyd, Safety Pin Productions and I look forward to creating with the audience a timeless space where we can enjoy life, love, and laughter. Meet Me At The Moon!"
Tickets are available at East Hawaii Cultural Center - 961-5711.
Hope to see many of you there!
This is an event that is not to be missed!
