Kidney Stones
#41
Thank you all for all the info.

The conclusion we have come to is HMC and the Hilo docs may actually be better equipped than So Cal area. The issue isnt the size or amount of the resources --- it is about continuity of care. So because we are small in Hilo, the continuity of care might be better.

10 days and after being in their local ER, and redlands ER total of three times and 2 urologists - 1 of 2 kidney stones being removed by surgery today. (Surgery because as the second urologist said "biggest one he had seen in almost 40 years". to keep my brother amused and entertained, we have taken up a naming contest for the stones = Cary Granite, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and in honor of world series time - Sandy Stoneaxe and Mickey Mantlepiece. My DH said Blarney stone and Scotch rocks.)

Cat,

I still haven't heard an answer to the question; "Is there a Lithotripsy unit permanently on BI?"
