Does anyone live near the Geothermal Plant? Any super bad stories from anyone who does? Would you? Would you not? Why? I am curious, with all the Geothermal stories I hear.

If you're serious in asking this question, check out the Council meetings of last year, (on YouTube or request DVDs from County), read the various websites about this subject. It's been rehashed over and over, especially in the last year.
Interesting that there were no complaints officially filed (for many years) until the State and County agreed that geothermal is a resource that we should pursue. Then people claimed to be sick, complained about their animals getting sick, people testified for endless hours at meetings about their experiences, and threatened lawsuits. Heck, there was over $2 million paid out last time, why not sue again!? (rhetorical ?, obviously.)
Remember to consider the source in the responses you get. Some are genuinely concerned (with no ulterior motive), some want the 130% value to be relocated, some have lawsuits being contemplated, some have no problem living in the area at all. Depends on who and why you are asking.
The existing plant is getting old. The technology is old. The subject is getting old, as the facts of this issue have not yet been realized. Especially since some politicians (cough, Yagong) utilized this as a platform for votes in the last election process, (which failed miserably).
