Anyone know what will happen with this?

Nothing that will change Hawaii's status as a state. The USA has a history of ignoring the rulings of this court anyway. Effort would be better spent demanding that the public schools here be reformed so that the great majority of Hawaiians who don't get a Kamehameha Schools education might actually have a better chance to get ahead in life.

The first line of that story starts

"The acting Government of the Hawaiian Kingdom filed with the Registrar of the International Court of Justice an Application Instituting Proceedings against the Republic of Austria,(and 44 other countries)"

To be accurate, it should have read:

The self-appointed acting Government of the Hawaiian Kingdom Movementfiled with the Registrar of the International Court of Justice..."

So one of the many competing Hawaiian "sovereignty," or "royalty," or "nationalism" groups is suing 45 countries that had treaties with the Kingdom of Hawai'i prior to the 1893 abdication of Queen L to force them to honor those treaties with the group that Mr. Sai is associated with. Meanwhile other groups have their own fanciful ideas about who is the rightful monarch of Hawai'i, and how best to unwind 120 years of US history and give the Hawaiian islands back to the native Hawaiians.

Per Wikipedia:

"After the court ruled that the U.S.'s covert war against Nicaragua was in violation of international law (Nicaragua v. United States), the United States withdrew from compulsory jurisdiction in 1986. The United States accepts the court's jurisdiction only on a case-by-case basis. Chapter XIV of the United Nations Charter authorizes the UN Security Council to enforce World Court rulings. However, such enforcement is subject to the veto power of the five permanent members of the Council, which the United States used in the Nicaragua case."

So, seriously, what could happen? (facepalm)
