I got some references to it on my news feed, and see I missed the Zoom call on 11/21 about it.

Anybody have a link to the new rules or give a breakdown?

I'm most specifically interested in the mention of "registering hosted rentals" which sounds like they are shutting the door on renting out a room or ohana by on site owners.

Just read it, yeah, that's bull****. Brings hosted rentals up to the same standard as unhosted. Fees, license, permits, the works. Can't wait to see the haggling over "vacation nodes" and who gets them and who doesn't.
