Cabinet maker
#1
A cabinet maker or reasonably skilled carpenter wanted to make about 8 linear feet of lower kitchen cabinetry for an existing kitchen in central HPP. Have drawn plans for tip-out style simple wood cabinets, will provide details and photos to explain what I need. No drawers, simple materials, no wood finishing. Work needs to be done beginning May 24 and completed by
June 1. You may contact me directly, John at 310-562-0362.

What are tip out style cabinets? Are these bins attached to doors that hinge at the bottom and " tip out"?

Yes exactly. Or actually doors with sides and bases, hinged on the kick board. There is on online description of them that i think is about as simple as cabinets can go. It also fits our situation: counter is in place, and we have tried and failed at finding or adapting prefab cabinets to fill in. Plus the space has obstructions so only the tip out cabinet method would clear them. And it is an "L" shape so there will be some clever work and/or a section of "blind" corner facing.

There is a 1x6 stained fir ceiling overhead so that material, bonded to plywood is possible face finish.

John, if what you have lined up does not pan out, Matthew D'Avella's work represents the best woodworking available on the big island. http://www.konawoodworking.com/Woodworki...Hawaii.php
