Who would you call to install an Oatley PVC shower pan liner? That's all I need done in order to call for the rough plumbing inspection.
The plumber says I need a tile person.
My Prince Charming sent me the link to a do it yourself video from the manufacturer. [

!]
Thanks, Susan.

I'm in the process of my master bath remodel and am doing the Oatey drain and PVC liner myself. I found the website below to be a wealth of information. The link takes you to the pro page where you can ask for references local to you. If they are a member of the site you can research their posts/work as well.

Laying tile is simple for the average person. HomeDepot has beginner classes that will show you how. The people in that department know their stuff if you have a question. If you are never going to do it again then rent a tile saw. Add up the cost versus a tile setter bid.

Always tile walls first, then floor, so you do not get tile set on tile or in grout line on floor. Pan is pretty straight forward with never staple below dam, or threshold height. Before laying in PVC liner, set bottom half of drain hat connected to drain pipe flush to pre sloped floor(1/4"per ft) towards drain. Cut 1/2 " plywood pre cut to floor dimension from corner to opposite corner, passing through drain center. Cut wood shim strips from same plywood as floor, set around perimeter, fit floor panels and nail.
Once slope pan and bottom half of drain hat installed, lay in your PVC liner, leaving at least a foot above shower floor on all sides. Cut bolt holes and drain hole so they are separate, you have a sealing gasket now. Attach drain hat top following sealing instructions, remove chrome cover and screws for now to protect.
Smooth out ripples to edge, fold corners like you would wrap a present without cutting paper, but backwards. Staple to backer between studs above your flood level, or top of step over into shower area.
Now the fun part, the threshold. Use the pre made corners and follow the cutting directions, folding pan liner over the threshold.glue well with the pan cement. You can staple liner outside of shower glass area towards bathroom.
Wait 24 hrs, Insert pipe plug below the pan hat, and fill with water to flood point. Wait 24 hours again to check for leaks. No leak, leave full and call inspector. He will see water level, may wait a bit, or ask you how long it has been with water, then ask you to drain it. All pau.
Now, inspector gone, mortar in pan to 1/2 inch of drain top for standard tile and tile set, adjust dimension for thicker tile. You can lay in wood thickness shims to assist in getting mortar even, then remove shims and backfill in mortar. Then stack walls using tile spacer wedges to get first course level, finish with floor working you way out and over threshold. Remember to never staple or nail anything inside shower stall pan area below your flood point.
Hope I didn't miss anything, have fun!

Seeing "grep" in your message reminded me that I haven't used it in a while. Have been doing windows stuff lately. I'm also a computer person, but not quite so exclusively. I could mostly follow Tink's instructions.

Problem solved. Carlton from Tile Styles stopped by this morning. He is going to install the liner for me so I can call for the rough plumbing inspection. I liked him immediately.
Thanks for your help and comments everyone. Once we are past the inspection I will have him pour the floor. Maybe we can then do the rest ourselves.
