I am looking to clear a curved driveway and house pad in Leilani Estate, mostly ferns and a few Ohia trees I believe on flat land, does anyone have any recommendations, I am not wanting to remove any Ohia trees unless necessary.

I refer you to the post "Building in Nanavale" if you are not there yet. If there, take the time to stake it out, if you haven't already done so. Then, take the native species found in the drive and house pad area, and re plant accordingly to give you room for the trucks and such during the construction, as well as your final landscape plan. Please save as many native species as you can.
Put dense planting seedlings along fence line for security, tree plantings to shelter house from winds and sun. If planting fruit trees give consideration to their needs and close in towards house for ease of access.
Once thinned out, final grubbing and grading will be much easier, as you will be able to see what earth conditions you have to make bidding easier, and hopefully cheaper. If you cinder a house pad, be aware the centipedes love the porous "soil" created.
