Hawaii County has the third biggest shortage of primary care providers in the country
Which is fine, because you can just fly to Oahu for medical care, and people are apparently OK with that.

Especially if you’re getting checked out for something contagious. Nothing like putting an infectious disease patient in a small tube with 100 other people. If you’re not part of the solution in Hilo, you’re part of the problem at General Lyman Field, and beyond.

Telemedicine: on the mainland, this is getting very popular.
Ie, you see your doctor using zoom.
For most stuff, this works pretty well.
Why not in Puna?

Mr. Terracore,
Went to book appointment, it seems they split practice locations. Not sure when / why.
Did you stick with Dr. Gina or Dr. Alin ?
Just curious.

I was told that they divorced and Gina got the practice. I had seen and liked both of them so I don't know the answer to your question. I'll figure it out next time I need to see a doctor.
