The DP3 was discussed in another thread: https://punaweb.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=23817
but it was a safety check thread so I thought this would be a better place to post this, but one could refer to the above link to get caught up if so desired.
Hilo Home Depot has them on sale for $1,899 which is a good deal anywhere. Pair that with a 10% off coupon from HD credit card and that's $1,710 plus tax, which is about $1000 under "list" price. I thought it was because Ecoflow was having a huge sale because of prime day but the sales guy told me HD wasn't going to be carrying that model any longer so it's a clearance sale.
THE CLEARANCE PRICE IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN STORE. You can't order it for pickup or local delivery for that price. It's $2,499 if you don't want to go inside the store.
I was originally looking for an extra 4096Wh battery for my existing unit, but they want $2,399 for one (no current discount) when I can get the same size battery plus the 120 and 240 inverters and all the other bells and whistles for $1,710. It won't do exactly the same thing an extra battery will do, but on the other hand I can add the 50 amp hub to connect both units together and get 8,000 watts output instead of 4,000. Plus if I ever want to add more solar panels I can connect them to the second unit.
Caveat emptor: People outside the lower 48 have had issues getting warranty service because of the shipping costs. Welcome to paradise.
Forgot to add: The sales guy told me the sale started before they actually had them in stock, and a lot of people had been coming in looking for them at this price. So they might not last long.
