I don't even understand the point of that ad.
Did you mean the dog/cat screenshot I posted?
Someone lost their dog.
They didn’t post a title for the notice, so Meta Facebook AI created a title, but identified and called the dog a cat. It’s not a scam, it’s AI incorrectly calling a dog a cat.

Ah ok, sorry I don't use facebook much, I thought the whole thing was AI generated. You'd think they would just require a title, instead of using an AI so bad it doesn't even know what a Frenchy is from the context...

Obviously the misunderstanding lies somewhere between HIan Paradise Park and the Acres. I knew the roads were bad, but hopefully Blue found her way home no matter.
Meanwhile I still can't find HIan anywhere on da maps..

So there's a type of cat also known as a frenchy?

Far be it from me to throw out a theory from left field, but entertain and/or be entertained by this. Facebook knows a great deal about its users. Facebook may be aware that Blue's human believes that Blue sees theyself as a cat which is all fine and dandy until Blue, or Blue's human, want a third party, like you or I to agree that Blue is a cat, at which point the third party becomes a victim of a scam.

As you should expect from me, but my take, coming from far-right field, is that Blue's owner, an avid user of Facebook, now in his/her heart and mind, truly believes that Blue is a cat, and despite any evidence or factual basis to the contrary, Blue is a cat.
PERIOD.
Facebook says so.

I can see an AI generated revenue stream headline in the next few days:
Did You Know That In Hawaii A Dog Can Also Be A Cat? It’s True!

Cʻmon guys. Poor poster just wants their dog back. Ugly as it may be.

Agree Kalianna, heartbreaking to lose a furry friend, especially if it was stolen, as it is being posited.
Now, what is interesting, is what people consider "ugly" dogs. That Frenchy is def a little spud of a thing, and not necessarily to my taste, but I personally find pit bulls, mastiffs, and Cane Corso to all be extremely ugly and unattractive dogs, and that people have simply because they look mean (and often are).
At the risk of opening a can of worms, I'll stop there.
I do hope little Blue finds their way back.
