conflating "retention & preservation" with "sealing" of records. What's your take on that RandomQ?
Hope you don’t mind me jumping in here randomq.
I think the Hawaii Elections Commission (or member) has a thesaurus to help position their shuffling goalposts

I don't agree with Scott Nago. I think the records can be accessed, they just have to be accessed in a way that does not put the state's responsibility to maintain them under federal law at risk. Maintain chain of custody, have witnesses and observers, secure facilities, etc. Maybe because Scott knows the allegations are BS he is just stonewalling. Not how I would play it, but I don't have the patience for that job either.
I would apologize if 19,000 return envelopes were physically missing from the state's warehouse. It's easy to make that promise knowing what I know. Hopefully the warehouse manager in Oahu is top notch so I don't have to apologize for misplaced boxes. :-)
I think all the "testifiers" who don't know what they're talking about, and just call in to make threats and pile onto whatever conspiracy are dummies. Anyone who joins the election commission without knowing how elections work also falls into that category. All of this public accusation and angst over something that can't happen is even more shameful because the commissioners of all people should know better.
