DR Power Equipment
#1
If you're a fan of DR Power Equipment, good news is that Garden Exchange is now a dealer for the brand. Their first order of four machines is on the way, should be in the store within three weeks. Actually, make that three machines, I've already spoken for the 26" brush cutter and will be saving a ton over ordering from the mainland! Garden Exchange will also be an authorized service center (though in my experience DR properly maintained rarely needs service). Anyway, if you're interested, call GE and ask for Lauren or Jeff.

By the way, "DR" stands for Dick Raymond, one of the founders of DR Power, not doctor [Wink]

Today is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you'll ever be, enjoy this day!
I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.

Thats good. You used to have to go to Waimea for service.

We found the blades and skids dont last as long as you'd think here in Puna.

Is that because of DR design/construction or because of puna? (curious as I'm looking at machines like this)

Because of Puna's aina make up.

Going up and down 2 1700 ft driveways seemed to wear them down. The driveways seemed flat pretty much but of course where there is lava rock it is abrasive.

Probably does much better up the coast where there is real dirt.
