Just saw this notification in my in-box. Seems Mauna Loa is shaking a bit more than usual, similar to past pre-eruption cycles:

The 4th paragraph is classic.
They might as well say that they don't have a clue what the volcano will, or won't do.
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

There are clues about when a volcano will erupt and it's always preceded by a swarm of surface earthquakes. Molten magma moving closer to the surface will always set off earthquakes. You can see here that the trend at Mauna Loa is definitely on the way up. Doesn't mean it will erupt but it is a clue that it might;
