Choppers
#11
On the 22nd a cruise ship direct from Calif was in Port .
The amount of humans on board was 5609 and this includes staff and passengers .Hilo is 1st port of call for this exclusive trip around the world for the wealthy of wealthiest .
The next day the 23rd that same boat was in Kona on it's round the world tour.
Many helicopters also take tourists on sight seeing flights from Kona to Hilo and back again.
We are amending the numbers and dates for those nit pickers who pick pick pick on every last detail.

The OP was complaining about choppers on the 27th so how could a cruise ship in Hilo on the 22nd be causing this activity?

There have been at least 2 dozen choppers over our house today, starting just before 8am. Low and loud, often 2 or 3 in view at once. Oh, boy, here comes another one!

Choppers come out for lava flows. That loud one is the Paradise one bigislandvideonews contracts out to get lava flow videos. Also, lava flows are big tourist draws. Ohia wilt going on but Pele is also consuming hundreds of acres at the same time.

"Aloha also means goodbye. Aloha!"
*Japanese tourist on bus through Pahoa, "Is this still America?*
