I realize this is not a Puna related link (below) BUT I hope that it might elicit some Puna related stories about our struggles (or victories) with coconuts. In Puna.
I can chainsaw a tree, deftly wield nearly any garden tool, but when it comes to opening a coconut I’m helpless. With a machete I would describe my efforts as pitiful at best. I’ve tried a hammer, a drill, if they work it’s at the expense of clean white coconut meat or getting 100% of the water.
But this guy, this guy in the video puts me to utter shame.
Can anyone here come close? Or tried his technique?
