If anyone is one of Pikachu's 43 Youtube subscribers, can you please gift him a mic so he is actually audible in his content? Much of his protest message is pretty muddled, but his end-of-video rant ranging from "Spread Love, Not Hate" to "If you don't get it, that's not my f-in problem, that's yours" to "Trump worships the Rothchilds, Rockefellers, the Illuminati paid for by them" is quite the spiel - he'd fit in well in Puna and on its webs.
left out the irony of what he said and how concerned he naturally is about making sure everyone has plenty of fossil fuel - going forward. Personally I'm much more concerned about fertilizer that is not getting through but maybe that big a__ doggo can help LOL.
While I did meet the chill doggo (and yes most mammals produce methane, some more than others as discussed previously) I didn't have a chance to talk to Mr. Frost - if I had, I'm sure we could have had an interesting conversation about the approaching end of the petrodollar (those oil contracts being offered in yuan were noteworthy) with its implications for the decline of the American hegemony and the rise of China and the reNewable World Order. Going to have a hard time selling LNG to Hawaii or the rest of the world when you can't guarantee it'll actually arrive, at the price agreed upon, or at all. May want to diversify your mobility options while you still can!
Same goes for fertilizer - having your entire population dependent on fossil fuel based fertilizers and foreign sources of potash might have consequences, especially on an island reliant on shipping and imports. Thankfully some peeps have been looking at this for years and investigating possible solutions. Will it be enough and arrive soon enough? To be seen, but may we all live in interesting times!
