Since I was playing in Photoshop this morning with that Big Island Stonehenge pic I added to Edge's game.. I figure it's fitting to update the migrating sands of Pohoiki saga (I don't use Photoshop all that much these days).. so..
At the end of that stack of pictures in my recent post on the moving sands of Pohoiki here is this pic from November 11, 2025.
And, so as to bring it up to date.. and show that there is continued movement of the sand.. here is a pic from New Year's Day 2026..
In my earlier post there were ten pics showing the evolving conditions since the dredging all combined into one file to post here. My reasoning was that we can only add a few pics per post. So I ganged the ten pics up into one. Here the two pics are separate files.. which makes playing with them a little easier. If you want to appreciate the more subtle details of how the changes have taken place you can grab one, and drop it on another browser window, and then take the other and drop it on the same window, and with that set up use the back and forward buttons of the browser to compare the two.

Just to bring this thread back to the fore.
In it, just above this post, is the latest update to the sequence of pictures I posted here, and earlier in this thread here, where it is obvious that once the dredging of the channel was pau the sand began to migrate from the right side of the picture (go back to the earlier sequence) across the opening and continued to fill in the bay.
In this sequence the sand is much higher than the ocean. There is no action of the ocean that can account for the deposit, nor is there any extreme tidal events that occurred repeatedly that would excuse such a belief. None.
These pictures are taken from a sequence captured every day during the entire time frame (I have the entire dataset and can show any day during the entire event), and in it the migration of the sand was something that happened daily, and was obvious as coming from the pile on the right and moving across the bay to the left. Whatever anyone says to excuse their beliefs is not backed up by any actual observations. No science. These pictures, and the dataset in its entirety, show what happened in detail explicitly.
And, again, there is no source of sand other than the sand already in place on the beach that can account for the filling of the bay. None. Please, be critical of the information, and ask yourself where, if the ocean carried in all that sand, so quickly, did it come from? And, if so, where is there evidence of that much sand elsewhere? And, how did the ocean pile it up so high? It is ridiculous to go on about it when there is no logic to support it. The sand is there, it moved, daily. We see it.. look how far away the ocean is and still the pile grows. And, again, the ocean had nothing to do with it. How could it?

So, again, I ask, if not for the ocean, then what force of nature or what force of man moved the sand?

Gravity
Go to the beach, dig a hole in the sand, sit in it. What happens?

Please, be critical of the information...
Gravity
I am being critical. And with all due respect, I'm going with what the DLNR says.

Of course you will.. no need critical thinking when you got DLNR do 'em for you.
If you want... you can compare this video from October 10th..

Only allowed one vid per post so here's part two..
and this video two days later on October 12th..
Where you can see, almost immediately after the project to dredge the channel was completed, and the equipment wasn't even removed, the right side when looking makai... the Kalapana side of the channel is, by the second vid, two days.. already migrating towards the Kapoho side of the channel.
No storm surge, no big waves, no tidal anything but beautiful days with all sorts of folks enjoying the beach.. and gravity. Seriously, a few days and already that distinct, prominent, surge of sand and such is beginning to fill in the channel.. and you can see how the entire body of sand behind it is slumping. I think it was kalianna that when we were discussing this stuff in real time asked if the slump was in line with where the heavy equipment had worked?
But hey, if DLNR like cover their ass with make believe nonsense... I mean for real how are they gonna look saying they never thought of gravity? then go ahead and fall in line.. you da kine..

I could find a little more acceptance in your theory if I could find one other, any other source that claims the same thing about gravity versus the ocean filling in the dredged ramp in days, but, well, there just simply are none.
On the other hand, I could be more accepting of there being a vast FEMA/Hawaii DLNR conspiracy to keep this real cause of the boat ramp failure a total secret and blame it on ocean swells. A conspiracy so vast, it would have to include the Governor, and of course, Joy and Greggor. Maybe even Tam is in on it too? Plus, all the local media, especially Will Bailey of Civil Beat, and even Facebook, X and Tang's favorite, BlueSky. And of course, all the residents who both opposed the dredging project in the first place and those who wanted it without regard of anything.
I mean, it could just be the earth is flat and depending on who wins, rigged elections all over the US. It could be those 19,000 envelopes really don't exist. Maybe I do need to fall in line. I am da kine after all.
