You're the one that's lucky, we can't even get Hawaii Telcom DSL, here away from the main roads in lower HPP.
I'm sure it's not as bad as dial-up.

Ever try AWS wireless? They have a relay tower on 1st between Makuu and Paradise on 4th off Makuu towards the end of the subdivision on 12th between Paradise and Kololi and another one somewhere further up. It's alot faster than dial-up and no need for your computer to have a wireless card (they supply you with a box)

If the planets are aligned and the wind is just right I can get a faint signal from my neighbor's AWS.
It costs a lot more than dial-up, is far less reliable, and not much quicker. Alas.

Once we get decent broadband in Puna, don't be surprised if we get a lot more people moving here who can work from home.
If you can live anywhere, then why wouldn't you live here?
