Orange Oil for termite control
#11
We use orange oil in a spray bottle for indoor pest control, active ingredient is d-limonene. I guess we're out at the moment, I can't find a bottle - if I recall correctly, other ingredients were solvent base like water or alcohol.

Seems to kill and repel roaches as well as chrysanthemum extract did (pyrethrum / permethin), and is slightly less noxious.

Banning orange oil while permitting all the crap in the gardening / pest aisle in Home Depot is just insane, in my opinion.

Edit: found the bottle, 5.8% d-limonene, rest is non-specified "inert ingredients." Seems like more water/alcohol than the permethin based stuff, which seemed more like kerosene.

I just noticed an ad for a non-tenting type of termite control yesterday in the Trib-Herald. The company stated in the ad that this was for control of the dry wood termites.... it did not mention subterrainean termites.... maybe that is something to question further.... if you are interested in this treatment.
