My family is looking for a new dentist. Hopefully one that is teenager friendly.
Anyone have any good recommends? Or avoids?
Assume the best and ask questions.

Dr. Tiffany Wang at Kawili dental group (on Kawili no less) is very competent and very nice. She is fairly young and all her staff is pretty young and hip so I think most teenagers would be comfortable with her. I have real problem teeth going way back and I am very comfortable with her. Good luck.

I second Kawili Dental. Dr Wang is super nice and her staff is too.

My wife and I have used Ohana Dental Group in Hilo for the last few years, and have been very satisfied. The staff is warm and friendly.

We have also used Kawili Dental, and had Dr. wang's husband, Chad Okuda as our dentist. No complaints or problems. He is also a big college football fan, so my husband likes to go talk football.

Dr Nakashima in Hilo. He's the best....and it's not easy sometimes becoming a patient of his. He has more patients than he can handle. But if you do get in...you'll have the best dental care on the island.

Yea..I second on avoiding Joan Grecco. She's a specialists for extractions, molars and implants and is expensive. And it's strictly cash up front even if your insurance covers the procedure 100%. It kind of makes it hard for many living here on the island to use her services with a cash up front policy.

Just doing a search on Dentists as we are on our way to the island now and Lynn broke a tooth. He is doing fine now but needs a crown and was advised to get in soon. I wondered about the recommendations here and peoples experiences and if there are others people would suggest? We won't be there for a week still but would like to call ahead and get an appointment for when we can.
