There's been a lot of defamation and false rumors going around that originated with Nhb and her group in this forum and propaganda flyers. Down the toilet went $3,000 of the association money for a Special Membership Meeting that accomplished nothing except to perpetuate negativity, false remarks and bash the new board. We've all been busy lately with lava related issues so let's focus our energy there and assist the community and HPP. Over and out.

I read with interest all the opinions, frankly I believe there is way too much idle talk and little action. The lady in the Board, who some of you refer to, is not letting go of her power grip anytime soon. She may have to be given a sabbatical under strict orders!. We have been here 8 years, and no matter who is in the Board they don't seem to do much but give work to their friends or build a road in front of their home.
Either we come together as a community and we change the rules of the game or we dissolve the whole thing.
Some folks are worried about road maintenance, all I can say is, if Hove can have all their roads paved why can't we?
The diatribe is getting unbearable, because not much is being achieved one way or the other.
Can the whole Board be sacked? Can we make it mandatory that all owners vote and participate. I know for a fact that we were not even sent some importance notices about voting. Does anyone here have a clear idea of what would be the better way to go?,

Is this just two current board members trying to generate astroturf, or what? Just because you back each other up doesn't mean you are right. The general membership meeting of the people was well attended and the vast majority of the members who remained to vote held a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS AND ASKED THEM TO POLITELY RESIGN. To date I don't think any of them have, and if so how would I know?

You don't seem to generate any minutes of your public meetings and I think only the current newly anointed reckless board knows how many secret meetings you have had.

Most boards are very slow to accomplish great change, but the one absolute necessity of representative democracy is to generate minutes of the actions you have taken and who voted on what. Where are your minutes? Instead of trying to reassure yourselves of what wonderful people you are and what a fantastic job you are doing, how about generating some minutes of your actions so we can all understand what it is you are planning to accomplish. Or are you already done and just basking in your revelry?

Why isn't JC and her cabal providing the minutes? After all its her faction that illegally took over. There was nothing polite about that meeting. And where are the minutes of their secret meeting to pull together this so called membership meeting where most of the membership weren't in the loop?

True it was well attended but more than half the membership left in disgust with the hostile take over so nothing was accomplished. I think the whole evening was a waste of the association's money. JC has been asked to resign several times during her years on the board including the recent Special Membership Meeting. She refuses to resign. BTW, not a board member...Why don't you sign up next time? It's a thankless job, don't you think? Not many people sign up each election year.

Both of these quotes are what is called deflection, when a question is avoided by asking a different question or accusing the questioner.

This HPPOA board has not posted any meeting since they were seated, including from any meetings related to the firings. They are now the board, they are the ones who took drastic actions without revealing the motions made, motions amended, votes taken, and motions passed that resulted in those actions.

Quit deflecting, and get your dear buddies on the board to do their jobs and generate some accurate minutes for the meetings since they were seated. The longer they wait the more people think they have something to hide.

Totally agree. Former Board President, JC, has spread hearsay & false information.

They use scare tactics like Nhb continuing to insight by saying there is going to be a lawsuit which is miss-information at best.

What is your agenda, Nhb? Trying to divert attention from all the last board and former President of the board did?

JC, former board president had secret meetings with the GM.
Where is that ok with bylaws?

JC was asked to leave due to her behavior and she refused.

The last members meeting did accomplish something karma 96749 # 1 the new board was asked to step down by a vote of the members and you guys are so eragant in to thinking that you did the right thing that obviously you won't .
# 2 the new treasure stated that you are in mediation with the three fired employees that was a bold face LIE so far they are not in any type of mediation. So that shows the members that you can't be trusted

I wasn't deflecting..those are questions I'd like answers to. I think the group who illegally took over the Special Membership Meeting should provide everyone with the minutes since they wrote the agenda and ran the excruciating long meeting. Where are the results of the several district recall vote petitions and why haven't the members heard the results yet? I'd like to know if that meeting was null and void in the end which logically would make the petitions null and void.

Please any one, sign up for a board position next year, or if one opens up before then as they often do. If you have big business and road experience and think you can do a better job, please step forward. The association's always hurting for volunteers and you can see why. A place this size needs qualified volunteers.

We all know by now the new board's in mediation and can't discuss the details of the firings. They did say at an early meeting that it was their fiduciary duty as board members to handle things when they see wrong doing. We all were given what information they are allowed to give us at this time. We were told that they'd let us know the details when the board is free to do so. So can't we all sit tight meanwhile?

As for the minutes not being posted Carol, there are July "drafts" for 2 meetings on the website. The recording secretary is relatively new as well as the board secretary. I've lost count how many disrupted meetings there's been so far. You need to have board meetings to approve the last month's minutes before posting the approved minutes on HPP's website. The new board's 1st board meeting was in July so we're talking about 2 mos now with storm Iselle and the Emergency Access Meeting last Wednesday in the mix.

Unfortunately, it's been business as usual to be delayed in posting minutes in the history of this association's boards. The previous board has done this numerous times as well, months behind. The GM's report was supposed to be posted monthly and by the time of his termination, I believe the last GM Report posted was October 2013. And he was a paid employee, not a volunteer. If you've been keeping up, you'll see this is all true, not correct, but typical.

June 2013's minutes are still a "draft" for reasons I gave in an earlier post. Jan 2014's wasn't posted until 3-4 mos later after it was brought to the previous board's attention and p.3 is missing. The GM's report is missing, p.3?, where his request for an expensive tool was approved that night by the majority board. Some owners present were visibly disgusted about the high price tag but had no say.

Board members are volunteers, it's not a paid job, and I believe the intent of most board members is to try to do things timely but isn't always the case. I do understand when you say it appears they are trying to hide something by not posting minutes in a timely way. Hopefully they'll have time soon without interruptions to catch up.

Personally, volunteers or not, I think minutes should be available within 48 hours.
