we ate at Ponds about a month ago. Service was awful, the salad was unwashed--actual dirt on it, and food was not cooked as ordered. Won't be back.

In Hilo ,good luck. Best I've had since we've been here is buy it fresh and make it yourself.

Ponds is usually "pretty good" but they don't know how to cook a steak. Medium rare=well done.

Hi there. I dine at Cafe Pesto fairly often, and they do a good job on the fish, especially the specials. Hilo Bay Cafe has fine views if dining before sunset. I find the overall menu a little odd, but the fish is good. One of my favorite places is right in Pahoa, Kaleo's, always delicious.
