HACA is not following proper ballot practices with the by law changes . the office staff told a paid member to copy the ballot and write their TMK number on it and use that for voting purposes. where are the checks and balances ?

All of this talk about not receiving ballots and postponing the meeting s just to stall. I have talked to people who had been members for 10 years and more and sometimes they didn't receive a ballot. I know I received a ballot 1o days after an annual membership meeting. Not this Jan. it was to elect the previous board.
From the by-laws.

SECTION 3.
Notice of Special, Annual and General Meetings of the Members.
(Amended 7/15/75,
7/11/04)
A written or printed notice of every meeting of the Members, stating whether it is an Annual, Special, or
General membership meeting; the authority for the call of the meeting, the place, day, hour thereof and the purpose
therefore shall be mailed by the Secretary at least 15 days before the day set for such meeting. If notice is given
pursuant to the provisions of this section, the failure of any member to receive actual notice of the meeting shall in
no way invalidate the meeting or any proceedings thereat (See Article XVIII, Section 1)

monkey the problem is they are not sending out notice of meeting changes , dates times nothing . now many are not receiving information on the ballots for by law changes , so this is a situation of no membership participation and a board that does as they like . and that includes spending the members donated funds .

I also don't understand why this isn't obvious to all involved, especially when it's happened in other subvisivions and at every level of government.

i think perhaps at some point HACA and HARC could loose there non profit status if enough complaints are filed with IRS , and DCCA . also if the membership money stops flowing in they will no longer be able to operate.

i want to make it very clear this new board Has Not mailed out any information to any members telling the membership of the meeting changes, nothing. i have sent a letter of complaint to the attorney general concerning this problem . even the website for HACA has not been brought up to date . nothing it is still old information . ,many of the voting members have Not received their by law ballot vote papers.

ok so ,,, it is your goal then to bankrupt the associations and close down the community center by any means necessary ,,

have you lined up some alternative plan for this ? who will you provide to pay the bills ,, have the rock spread ,, have the grader and box blade work done ? im sure you have given this aspect lots of thought and have a plan ,,, can we hear what your plan is ?

iv noticed over the years that apparently no one can run the associations and office well enough to make you happy ,,, I feel like its a plain case of cant please all the people all the time ,,, and some you can never please ,,

so by all means run the whole show into the dirt ,,, its always way easy to tear something down ,, then it is to build something up . id like to see any of you guys do a better job . the same squeaky wheels have been complaining about the same things ,, with every board we have ever had ,,,,,

also in closing ,, do any of you really think that anyone is stealing enough of the association monies to get rich ,? do you think its a good enough gig to clean out the till and run away to Mexico ?

nathan, wolf,barry , i am not the only resident property owner that is fed up with business as usual for year after year. new group comes in , promises the sun, the moon , the stars and winds up worse then the last .
many ,many people would like to see the community center shuddered until a responsible group or even a management firm can operate both HACA and HARC as a business .
the bills to be paid ? right now money is not being spent wisely nor are the expenditures being made public or openly discussed at the meetings. alot of funds are being spent for a farmers market , a self serving venture for a handful of people .
roads what can i say they speak for themselves they deteriorate more and more every year , residents are fixing their own .

Change in topic.....sorry. I just finished reading the other HA thred. I am a bit concerned. Some Laurie person and Birchl are saying not to worrie about the lawsuite or Farmers market. I have never heard of them ever even being involved with either. Nobody knows how things will work out and I think it is a complete disservice to give the community your opinion on these issues as fact. Repeating gossip is pretty unacceptable. It appears these people have disregarded anything happening except what they would like. Unrealistic when opposing factors exzist.
