Looks as though he is trying to say that his home was invaded by 3 or 4 intruders. Yup sure, the intruders put a bullet in your wife and your kids heads and left you unharmed. Then you proceeded to put your wife's body in the trunk of your car and drive off. I wonder if he's going to next claim the intruders used his gun to kill, then fled the scene, stealing nothing and leaving the gun with him.
I know I wouldn't survive an incident like that with intruders raiding my home. The invaders would be dead or I'd be dead trying to stop them from hurting my family. Or I'd be mortally wounded in the yard screaming and sobbing, waking up the whole neighborhood until the cops came and found my dead wife in my arms and me covered with tears and her blood. She certainly wouldn't be loaded in the TRUNK of my car!!
The TV hasn't reported it yet but the slain children will be found to be his kids. His boy, 5 or 6 had the same name as his father, John. It's unfathomable to me how someone does such a heinous act.

We are still in shock that this happened in leilani estates. We also find this intruder story almost unbelievable, while Doubt hoffman is still on the island or in this state for his own safety reasons. I did hear from a bird this morning that Mr Hoffman was pretty convincing telling his intruder version of what had happened.

My two cents worth is he is going to go for the insanity plea. This "intruder story" his lawyer(s) will use to justify the insanity plea.

Puna needs more cops and more criminal investigation resources. Hello Billy K., thanks for not caring about the wellbeing of those in your hometown, I digress, grrrr.

Maybe the state will help out on this one. Sometimes dangerous criminals can tell convincing stories and other times they tell the truth. You need the manpower and resources to tell the difference.

Some of the largest landowners and farm groups in the area are part of the watch.

Improving the quality of life is a police and community priority in Pahoa town. The Community Policing and Patrol officers conduct crime reduction details and walking patrols to increase police presence in town."

Latest update on this disturbing case: Greaseball Hoffman killed 4 not 3. His wife was 3 months pregnant.

The funeral on Wednesday was said to be very touching. The children were arranged on each of their mothers side with an arm draped over her. No visits from media and nobody with a dry eye.

Also, the word is, Hoffman is going to say that he owed a large amount of money for drugs and 3 intruders came and killed his family for non-payment.
