The market is closed - no one is there.
Traffic signals at 130 and Shower as well as the lights at 130 and 132 (by the Pahoa High School) are solid red for all sides. I noticed many people had no idea what to do. Some simply blew thru the lights!
Use caution.

Another point for roundabouts. They don't need electricity to work.
Assume the best and ask questions.

Figures, not surprised at all.
Roundabouts, yes, yes.
You would think with all the practice the State and County have,
the idea of circularity would be second nature to them.

...
Roundabouts, yes, yes.
There was a recent thread about how we're all doomed, the end is nigh, Danger Will Robinson! and the impending collapse of society that will come with it. If only we could get our major intersections converted to roundabouts before then, at least Puna would be able to function in a post apocalyptic Hawaii. That is, if you can find a filling station with that $10 a gallon gas available at the pumps.

The heavy lightning during the time of the vendor setup had something to do with it...

heavy lightning during the time of the vendor setup
Are you suggesting (and is the county listening?) that the metal poles used as a grounded, interconnected support structure, and now the man made highest point in an open field, might attract high voltage lightning strikes to the venue? And the lightning which is electrical, could then potentially create a flammable tarp fire hazard? (based on inspector's findings of a single electrical outlet and cord at the Hilo Farmers Market)

Video on FB showed Maku'u Market as a 1-ft deep flowing river. I think they made the right call!
