They are making a bit of money on that 30 year old scotch... sells for $1200 a bottle in NYC.

And probably $100 at Costco under the Kirkland label.
Only partially tongue in cheek. I won't go into details (there are scotch forums for such) but some of the Kirkland scotches are amazing values when you look at the actual product.

Granted, two pounds of beef in one sitting is a lot of meat.
But back in the day when I was growing up on a farm, I don't believe the entire cow cost that much.

Still a fair amount of meat, and fair comparison with my cow on the hoof. Which also included bones.
