Green says masks will be last to go

With Covid you had a situation where 30% of the population dictated what the other 70% should do.

Covid is spread, invisibly, unsuspectedly, irrespective of age color sex or any other division you want to make, without the host spreader being symptomatic, by everyone. I don't understand how one can stretch (shrink?) that fact to say the spreaders don't have a part, regardless of how they themselves will respond to the virus, in caring and being responsible for the outcome of others.

Your thesis does not make any sense to me. Maybe you'd like to elaborate? Help me see the error of my ways? Are you saying the 70% should hold the 30% hostage? Or what?
It’s well known the spike proteins are toxic and lead to blood clots, whether this is from a bad case of covid or from the vaccines that work by making the body produce them.

The children rarely get a serious infection of covid and I’ve seen no evidence of concern for thrombosis or long covid. Would you happen to have a source for your fear?

I think upon further enquiries you will find that early on it was shown that Covid is a blood clotting disorder. Covid not the vaccines. This was figured out before there were vaccines. And the effects, which present in at least a third of all Covid mortalities, are not like deep vein thrombosis, which is one of many ways blood clots accumulate and threaten life, but rather with Covid the clots form and accumulate in other parts of the body causing organ and tissue damage through putrefaction caused by their presence. Some tissue is regenerative and some not. Long Covid is often caused by the loss of these tissues. You know, brain matter and the like..
Yes. It’s from the spike proteins binding in the blood.

I suspect it doesn’t matter where the spike proteins come from…
Either way we have all moved on, including the effectiveness of the vaccine against covid. Time for mandates of all kinds to follow the science and go, as can be seen everywhere else but here.
the mask requirement will soon be lifted, so no sense arguing about that anymore.

We could ask ourselves, will I do anything differently from now until the mask mandate is lifted?  With or without a mask?

Visualize world peace - can do with a mask.  Protest against the war in Ukraine?  Can do with a mask, or a red bandana tied around your neck, to protect from tear gas when necessary.  Feed the hungry in East Hawaii?  Can do while wearing mask.

There are bigger problems in the world right now than mask arguments.  If you see mask mandates as a problem, it’s already solved.  They’re going away.

I’ll continue to wear a mask when my work dictates it, just like hearing protection, maybe, or most Likely not… ?

No one will be wearing masks in a few weeks, the science has changed, political science.

Yes as Rob stated welcome HawaiiEV.

The hearing protection comment reminds me of one problem I have with masks- it's more difficult to hear others and also to project your own voice.

I would argue that the science has changed.  Most people have either had the virus, recently estimated at 50% of US population per CDC, and/or have been vaccinated.  Yes, the 65% vaccination rate is fairly pathetic for a wealthy nation.  Oh well, it will do when so many others have actually caught the bug.

Case numbers are plummeting everywhere.  Ige wants to play extra safe and see what happens in other states when mask mandates are lifted.  How long for the wait and see, and what metrics will he possibly use as justification for dropping?   Sorry, don't ask. Won't tell.
I would argue the actual science hasn’t changed besides the virus evolving to be more contagious and less harmful. We are just figuring it out, people were right to be cautious early on. Lucky for us we have a control, Sweden, they didn’t lock down, didn’t wear masks, didn’t close schools, didn’t strangle the economy. The results besides the obvious well being of the general population and economy is that they have better case statistics then a majority of their European peers, certainly not worse for not participating in the lockdown theater. If you think clothe masks, one way shopping isles and plexiglass dividers did anything to stop covid I’ve got a lava zone 9 lot in Puna to sell you .

When the "trope" turns out to be quite accurate.
