If Punaweb members were civil to each other there would be no concerns or need for a moderator.

If Punaweb members didn’t walk right up to the line that outlines forum rules, then argue that they’re not on the line, or claim through lengthy discussions that their comments were misinterpreted, so they never said anything that fits into the definition of words that would place them over the line because their definition of those words clearly defines the words in a manner which defends each and every point they’ve made, a moderator wouldn’t be necessary.

If Punaweb members didn’t threaten other members (lawsuits? really?)there would be no concerns about whether actions taken were too little, too much, or not required at all.  All of which have been suggested by one member or another over the past few days.

I wonder if anyone who ever broke forum rules believed they broke forum rules when writing a post?  Even as they click Post Reply? Even after the reply has been posted? (There is no correct answer to those questions)

Like with this thread.. if that harassing (a term of endearment) were to have had anything to say, anything at all, when I pointed out that feral cats aren't breeding willy nilly as she insists.. well then we would still be talking cats. But NO, it was shown, with a vulgar of links/references, that she has no idea what she is saying.. so instead of just apologizing, or coming back with some logical response, like shutting up if she has nothing to add, she attacks the messenger.

As in.. it''s all Julie all the time.. and vulgar the rest of us. Unless it's harassing.. and then it's all meow...

Unfortunately moderators are needed as several on here thrive on not being civil. Then the uncivility escalates. Also, some posters appear to be unable or unwilling to let go of past grudges against others. Grudges due to old arguments, debates, insults, etc.

If it makes you feel better to blame things on Kane, feel free. However, the ongoing nastiness is not from him. I won't respond to anymore taunts and insults from HJ about this topic moving forward.

Anyways, your initial concern was the deleted thread, which appears to have been done by a moderator. I can assure you that neither Kane nor I requested a deletion of the thread.

In the first place, your "shitload" of links has nothing to do with feral cats breeding willy nilly, is is about free/low cost spay/neutering services that require HUMAN BEINGS to bring cats to them to be spayed/neutered.

Feral cats, left unchecked, breed willy nilly. Expecting the general public to deal with feral cats, except feeding them, is like expecting the general public to respect the hours of our solid waste transfer stations, where on a daily basis and especially holidays, garbage is just tossed in front of the closed and locked gates.

Now, here is an idea - stop confusing domesticated cats with feral living in the wild cats. Further, if we had taken the over 10 million of taxpayer dollars spent in police overtime guarding protesters against TMT and put that money in the establishment of cat colonies around the island, we may have a chance at both saving the cats as well as the damage and destruction they cause.
