Julie I failed to log in and saw your most pathetic post yet. You've destroyed any little bit of credibility you have left. You actually took a quote from a completely different thread about a completely different topic that has absolutely zero to do with government in any way shape or form and dropped it into this thread to make others believe that I've said the firings of these poor federal workers is some type of payback. You are a liar.

The thread where your quote came from was indeed not about the firing of Federal Workers, but it was in reply to another poster's weak and spineless assertation that requiring the wearing of masks and showing vaccination proof during the height of COVID 5 years ago lead to a local restaurant's closure this week.

And the comment that you made on that thread was made with the sick, disgusting, foul, rabid and ridiculous intent of expressing happiness and GLEE! Like Homer Simpson drooling over a donut. Having the mindset of "those bastards "muzzled" me and made me get the "jab," so they sure got what's coming!" Right?

While I never ate at that restaurant, I know people who have and as I understand it, was quite a good one. Now gone. Closed. And ALL the workers out of a job. And to be clear, requiring masks and vaccination proof from 5 years ago had nothing to do with its closure. I wonder how many US Fish and Game, National Park Service and NOAA local employees, now fired, may have frequented that restaurant.

But then, you come along and make post about the restaurant's closure being "payback" over goddamn masks and vaccines 5 years after the fact. And with GLEE!

Further, did you miss Ironyak's comment where there is an embedded link directly to your quoted "payback" comment on the other thread was made right here on this thread? I see you have not posted anything to Ironyak calling him a liar or having no credibility.

At any event, I think my credibility is OK.

Now, how about we discuss those laid off NOAA workers and the direct threat to human life here in Hawaii and Nationwide that those firings have immediately caused?

Maybe reading the ENTIRE thread of any subject matter may give you better insight into all aspects of said subject matter, instead of just zeroing in on, as in this case, me, might be a better way to look at things?

No I didn't.  Mahalo for expanding my vocabulary with "butty".  It is an interesting word with multiple meanings.  Your comments always usually often have a tie-in to the thread at hand so is this a double entendre?  Are you suggesting that folks should learn to shovel coal?  If so, that may be received as rather insensitive. If not, I did find this which made me hungry.

Nothing sinister to see here! "Butty" means a bread and butter sandwich. I think the term was invented in the middle of the 19th century and is now commonly used throughout the UK.

I can't make heads nor tails of this thread. The video is similar to a play my best friend and I wrote in our English class when we were 12 or 13. In our case, it was a sports show that quickly deteriorated when every game they went to had something terrible happening. IIRC, we both got a top grade.
