Yesterday, I made this post about the eventual deportation of ALL of Hawaii's 42,000 undocumented immigrants. In that post, I made a tongue and cheek comment about deporting honest, non violent, 12 hour a day Kona Coffee farm undocumented workers, possibly your friend, co-worker, neighbor, et al being deported as this guy moves in.

This afternoon, I read this this story.

The common denominator here?

Judge Kimberly Tsuchiya

Someone on this thread used the term "folks who should not be here" and while the debate of undocumented immigrants will be going on and on and who the "worst of the worst" is and all that, but in my humble opinion, the ABSOLUTE "worst of the worst" right here on the Big Island, right here in Hawaii - is Judge Kimberly Tsuchiya.

If anyone "should not be here," it's her.

Not very catchy though is it? Maybe "Keep both eyes in Hawai'i"? or "Be like an 'opihi and stick to things local"... Plenty more creative folks here than me can probably make some mo'bettah mottos to drop into threads as needed.

lol - or I mean loli, like the sea cucumber, sure, that's it...

HJ - Thanks Ironyak!
No worries - it happens a lot online, part of the whole pseudoskeptical Just Asking Questions tactic aka "JAQing off" (have to see where the morality police land on that one ;)

HJ - The common denominator here?
I wonder if this topic would be better served as its own thread? Seems like lots of folks like to track local crimes and complain about the accused being given reduced bail and such - may actually be common ground across most of Punaweb, and would provide very little to Bicker about? Just a thought, Mod2 can always delete/banish posts back here as needed and/or scold me and send an ʻalalā to eat my liver for trying to free topics from Bicker Board purgatory.

LOL - Do they deport you for violations?

You are no doubt right about that and I considered it. I'll let it marinate here in the BB for a bit until I can read tomorrow's news. Maybe we will see the Mississippi dude arrested in Mountain View last week, currently being held on a no bail warrant for a whole host of god awful crimes, being released for a few bucks bail, but at least the UN-Honorable Judge Kimberly Tsuchiya is on the West side so the chances are slim, but then again...

Plenty more creative folks here than me can probably make some mo'bettah mottos to drop into threads as needed.
A little twist of the old Vegas motto:
"What happens in PunaWeb stays in Hawaii?"

Yeah, had pulled out the ʻōʻō and went digging on that one, down the 'ino lāpaki puka, hence the lol. At this rate, each post is going to count as ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi homework (get your certifications in this and more at Punaweb Correspondence School, with courses in Survival Volcanology, Middle School Climate Science, Rudimentary Public Health, The Law and Lawyers in Dante's Inferno, Backyard Criminology, Improvisational & Semi-creative Writing, and Basic Astrology! ;)

May I suggest that we add one more class to the curriculum of the PunaWeb Correspondence School:

"ʻo ka lonoā, ka ʻōlelo hōʻino, a me ka manaʻo wale"

ETA:
The Law and Lawyers in Dante's Inferno
Without limiting the generality of the above statement, and while not confirming or denying its applicability thereof, but I may or may not resemble that insult or non insult regardless of it being direct or implied.

Yes, because Rob brought god into it.

The density of matter may speak to the ability, or the inability, for one to process, receive and make use of vibratory stimuli. Information, words, thoughts, imagery. All may ultimately be absorbed, though it is obvious a rock groks it’s surrounding at a far slower pace than flesh and blood. Which leads one to wonder if our “astronomer” would pass the Salem witch test. After all, it is common knowledge heretics sink.

But, in all seriousness, it does give pause, when one who wishes to be seen as so lofty, so above the commoner, sinks just like the rest of us.

Science, by my reckoning, is the observational study of god, which is to say of creation, and they are one and the same. How could it be otherwise? For a scientist to discount god, is to say they are ill-equipped for the job at hand, and by that virtue must spend their lives in darkness, rather than bask in the glory of their findings.

As we say here, poor t’ing.

And no Tom, it went up in flames because of your lack of humility, and the inability to perceive and listen to others. And just let things be when you haven't anything to offer.

No, it isn't. You might think it is, but the scientific method does not include a god. That might have been the thinking centuries ago, but it is not what science is now. That kind of thinking, from hundreds of years ago, that there is a god or that the movement of planets matters, is why frauds make money from astrology, numerology, and all sorts of wacky ideas that often lead to cults, some of them being a real threat to society.

You know, for a guy that tells everyone how great his observational skills are, you can't see a thing. You are blind as a bat. And a very foolish one at that.

God, created, god is everything. I don't say shit about one kine god or another, that's all poppycock. But every fricking ray of light is god. It's all god. The water, the air, the rocks and the stars a gazillion light years away.. all of it. And yet your pompous little ass can't recognize that you too are god.

Seriously Tom, you're more than welcome to continue this line of reasoning, go ahead, make a fool of yourself. But when you stand up and say you know something.. you're just making a joke. And a sad one at that.

And to think you're stealing our tax dollars to do it.
