...when you are the only one in the thread not arguing, simply because they are rattled by the obvious truth, it is a lack of neutrality.
Post #1 - Page #1 I agree with Julie and I agree with Durian Fiend. I could continue but that's enough to 100% conclusively prove the point. The moderator's attack on me is demonstrably untrue but I'm sure they felt it was true because they are incapable of neutrality and, for that reason, unfit to be a mod in my opinion. Making a friendly point, that a moderator disagrees with, is not "arguing", except these days, on Punaweb.

I don't think Moderator 2 was referring to your Page 1 Number 1 post, but more than likely referring to your second post and then your third post.
In your second and third post, you blame Will and Biden, claim you have a host of possible mental handicaps as well as claiming totally incorrect information as to the whole issue of tariffs, both ones that are legally in place as well as the ones that were in place but now ruled illegal.
Then, when presented with a way to provide you with more specific information, you reply with your fourth post.
At any event, since I see one poster can get away with simply telling Moderator 2 not to interrupt him when he is speaking, maybe you should try and see if that works for you?
Mahalo Julie. No one assists me in making my points like you do. I made an if/then query utilizing Durian's information, "if true". Then folks took issue with some of my query so I rephrased it to accommodate their assertions.
If anyone should have researched and presented accurate details it would have been 1) the author of the "commentary" piece. 2) The OP who takes great issue with others posting things that they have not bothered to fact check. 3) anyone disagreeing with Durian Fiends research.
Why didn't the mod ask the people actually arguing about the figures to do the research? Lack of neutrality.

Further, before I comment on any subject matter, if I don't know about it, I either research it until I know enough about it, or, if I can't learn enough about it, or am too lazy too, I refrain from commenting on it.
So, for example, if I read something "on the internet" where someone posting that the sun rises in the North, one could simply say "damn straight, it rises in the North and I've seen it a million times."
No, I verify that claim first myself and after finding that it indeed rises in the East, I would reply as such. And using the "if true" as an adage, is not a valid excuse.
As for the whole tariff issue, how can you speak about any of it, if you, as your posts proved know really nothing about them, and self admittedly, are too lazy to learn anything about them. So you just go with the Power Point Slide Book of talking points hey? Biden's fault. Will fault. Ignorant dumb people. Caveat Emptor. Damn the facts, and the truth, full speed ahead!

I actually know quite a bit about them but I'm not allowed to post that here on Punaweb so I have to be creative and piggyback off of people like DF who get a pass. It's that lack of neutrality - thing. But here, I'll give it a tiny shot and see how it goes.
If Will had written a "commentary" piece in a huge left wing donor billionaire created and supported Hawaii rag 18 months ago, when he was trying to add solar to his Puna hale rooftop, he might have lamented the negative effects of tariffs on the people of Puna, who rely so greatly on solar electricity due to so much of our nani Puna Paradise, being off the grid and because of our abundance of glorious Hawaii sunlight. In fact, he no doubt would have shouted AWE! at how the current administration (back then) basically decided to keep the vast majority of of the previous administration's horrible, careful Hawaii budget taxing - Puna oppressing - tariffs, and actually INCREASED them on a wide range of solar products. There must be a post here about that somewhere on Punaweb right? I mean that's a big deal here in Puna right? I would post a link or two but I'll leave that for someone here in Puna on Punaweb, who is sanctioned to stretch it that far. That whole neutrality thing. Thanks Julie, I can always count on you.

First, tariffs on solar panels has nothing to do with Will's story. Just another deflection on your part. Again.
Second, ANY tariff enacted or raised under Biden was as of a certain date and were not reciprocal, nor punitive, meaning that even if Will had ordered his solar panels BEFORE Biden increased solar tariffs, and it was on the long boat from China and took months to get to the Hilo dock AFTER Biden's tariff increased took effect, Will WOULD NOT have paid any additional tariffs, not have new tariffs added on top of the stated tariff.
Furthermore, Biden has not been in office now for almost a year and a half. When do you get past that? Why the constant whataboutism?
At least our new Big Guy has kept his promise and pledge to not start any Middle East... oh shit, never mind!

I really thought DF presented a fair, centrist position on the issues. I did not agree 100% with all of his assertions but I felt he was seeking truth where as everyone else, including you, is just blinded with partisan rage and TDS. Good on DF. Maybe Punatang will explain, but I'm not sure how the Mod pointing out that it looks like Tang just wants to argue (by not being willing to take any steps to educate himself on the topic - Tang claiming Inherent Laziness as his core and defining character trait) is some sort of personal or biased attack. AFAIK, Tang's messages weren't edited by the Mod, or deleted like Olohana's attack on the red hats, nor was Tang blocked or banned. The Mod dressed down a handful of us "radical lefties" last night for excessively debating/battling/whatever, and yet all those facts are ignored as evidence of even-handed Moderation, because it doesn't fit the narrative of a biased persecution of him, or conservatives in general, that Tang has adopted for whatever reason.

1 - Do you have evidence that the article details are not accurate? Civil Beat has a Highly Factual rating by those sites that you previously endorsed, so what about the piece can you disprove?
2 - As for me as OP, the article's numbers all line up with known rates for the prefabs, tariff rates in 2025, and the illegality of the IEEPA tariffs. There's no fact-check site flagging this article, so since you're the expert making demands, please explain how exactly posters on Punaweb should fact check such articles?
3 - Julie did ask questions about DF's numbers, so did I in the following days to try and clarify his numbers and reasoning. Maybe you should do the same instead of just using them as the starting point for your "Biden had illegal tariffs too" argument, which everyone who knows anything about this space (as you are now claiming to), knows to be false?
As for missing solar stuff from years gone by, Punaweb isn't a news source - it's a community forum with content from those who take the time to post. You want to discuss the maintenance & increase of the tariffs on Solar equipment from China under whatever administration and how it affects the prices in Puna - please do. Plenty people probably happy to grumble along, but claiming you can't post info about Hawaii from a reliable source because of Punaweb Moderation "bias" seems like more excuses to do little besides asserting "the man" is totally unfair and always out to get you.
