What is it? Where is it?
some building on the Kamehameha school campus

Not Kamehameha.
Neighborhood can be subjective, in size, but definitely not Keaau-Kurtistown.  Here’s a little more:

I've no idea. The building has a ski-resort look to it, and it appears as though snow fell recently but is now melting. I don't have a clue.

Nope, no snow.

Well, since we're playing 20 questions, I'll start with..

Is it in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park?

You may have "Stumped the Panel" HOTPE!

I am assuming east side of the Big Island, as the first pictures show the pavement wet, possibly meaning rain, which is ironic that the pavement appears totally wet UNDER the "canopy" with the wood plank wrapped beams. And you have said it is NOT in Keaau or Kurtistown.

Hmm... And then I wondered the same as MyManao as you do have a penchant for Volcano & Park area, but I'm coming up empty so far.

ETA:: OK then - in the Park! I'm going to have to go up there soon!

I understand there isn't snow, it just looks like snow. As I said, I have no idea.

Hmmm…
If KMC is in Kau, is it possible to be on the Kau side of Kau?
