What Are You Planting? Growing? Flowering? Harvesting?

My old Langsat tree has ripe fruits now. Mamey Sapote are coming on nicely. Avocado trees are looking good, with no lace bug damage YET.

Let's see...
Have a gigantic avo that has been on the property since long before I got it. Had bananas but bunchy top got 'em so had to remove a couple years ago. Have choke volunteer papayas, replanted pineapples constantly producing. Tend toward "plant and pray", so whether all these survive to produce, dunno: soursop, jackfruit, mountain apple, ice cream bean, cacao, carob, finger lime, chiles, just planted a clementine...know I'm forgetting some. Plus ornamentals galore. Have a few herbs amd turmeric in containers on the lanai, also a calamansi.

Lots of avocado tree volunteers, several years old and getting large, but not bearing fruit. I have to investigate whether they are all males, or if I will need to graft onto them. They seem hardy though.
White and purple flesh sweet potatoes, because they are a good staple crop and fairly easy to grow. Lilikoi. Our yellow ones are doing well and we get a lot of fruit each year. Our purple ones have flowered but produced no fruit, so maybe not fertilized. We have also grown cherry tomatoes and Japanese cucumbers for salads, but not currently. The way things are headed we will probably be growing a lot more, and have started making plans for a new raised bed garden.

Ulu galore, first white pineapple of the year, mountain apples very late this year, lemons soon, papayas, anthuriums, heliconias and gingers kicking flower butt. And then my ongoing battle of the vegetables... sigh... pumpkin and chayote squash set fruit which then quickly rots, just a few cherry tomatoes so far, basil doing well, Old Brooks tomatoes on their way... maybe. But no cukes uh uh never again ever since I picked a big beautiful cuke, cut it open and found the entire inside completely filled with big green worms. People say not to get emotionally attached to your plants but itʻs difficult. The thrill of victory; the agony of defeat.
Certainty will be the death of us.

That's actually why we aren't growing the cucumbers right now. Flies found them and ate them inside out last time. Next time we're going to try paper bagging or mesh bagging them, which allegedly keeps the pests out.
In the past, we had issues with tomatoes and other fruits near the ground going missing entirely, we assume to wild boar or dogs.

Iʻve used knee-high sheer stockings on malabar chestnut pods. Works great. Easy to use and re-use.

Now playing... Monstera Fruit. For years I didnʻt know it was edible. When I found out I waited. And waited. It took months for it to ripen and then I got busy for a few days and when I looked again it had gotten rotten and infested with fruit flies. So i waited and waited again. And this year I stayed on it. I had read that eating it unripe was unpleasant due to having it oxy-something that caused something like peleʻs hair in your mouth. Watched videos of how and when to harvest and got it at the perfect time. I had heard it called the Fruit Salad Plant. I was so excited. And then I tried it. Meh. Tasted sort of like soursop but without the fiber and with yes, an aftertaste of Peleʻs hair. Anyone had better luck? Iʻm just gonna wait for the abiu. Yum!
