At this point, out of compassion for Puna Kupuna, the right thing to do is focus on what is true.
Let's all try to help deliver our Puna Kupuna from the unnecessary fear induced by the article and this thread.
To gain a deeper understanding of what is true and what is available to them, our Puna Kupuna should avoid Punaweb, and instead should visit www.medicare.gov, or, for more context, they should connect with an agent who can guide our precious Puna Kupuna toward options available to them.

Meanwhile, other carriers serving Puna, with higher star ratings, are lowering premiums and even handing out a form of income (giveback) to Punatics in their 2027 plans. The Puna photographer, in truth, has options that would even put money in his pocket.

In the article in the OP it’s stated that the Pahoa residents currently pay $300 in monthly premiums for both. You have now posted over several pages that there are better options, better plans, better, better, better.
Please let us know where in Hawaii we can get a health plan that’s better and costs less than $300 for two people. There are many here who would appreciate that information. I for one.

I've used the word "better" once and not in the context you represent. More misinformation and misrepresentation.

Puna Kupuna may find plans that do not cost $300, at www.medicare.gov

Which plan would be less than $300 for 2 people? I can’t find it at the link. You have said there are better plans and cheaper plans, and that you have done your research. So which plan(s) have you found which meets that criteria during your research?

Show me where I said there are "better plans". Try to stop lying, if you are capable of that.
Puna Kupuna who are unable, or prefer not, to navigate www.medicare.gov, should call 1-800-MEDICARE to hear all of their options.

Would you consider higher star ratings, lower premiums, givebacks constitute a better plan?
Or, please provide specifics for the plan you found that costs less than $300 for two people, has a higher star rating than plans you claim were canceled due to low star ratings. I know there’s a giveback plan because I have one. The co pay is higher, but the coverage is less for medical, dental, vision, and hospital. So I would really like to find the plans you’ve discovered that do whatever you said they do in your exact quotable words, if that’s possible.
Thank you.

No. That is why I did not call them "better plans", as your lie asserted.
Based on your choice of words, it sounds like you may think those features constitute a "better plan" in which case you are in luck, they are available.
Since you are unable to locate them on www.medicare.gov, may I suggest you call 1-800-MEDICARE and ask for a plan with no premium to pay, a higher star rating than the plan from your article, which the photographer and his wife are struggling with, and/or a plan which includes a "giveback".

In Hawaii I believe that's called Quest Integration.

(Some observed comments and then, my opinion)
Comprehensive health care coverage for seniors only doesn't make sense to me since this demographic typically demands the most services.
And we, en masse, think we're great? What a frickin' joke. We're sick. America is a very sick society.
Let's all try to help deliver our Puna Kupuna from the unnecessary fear induced by the article and this thread.

What if, just what if, comprehensive health care for ALL people and demographics was as enshrined, sacred, inalienable and protected EXACTLY as the Second Amendment is?
Wouldn't that make America really great instead of the sick society we have truly become? As well as MOST IMPORTANTLY delivering to our Puna Kupuna the BEST plan imaginable?

After doing some research,
Ask a simple question, get insulted, falsely accused of various and sundry then offered a wild nene chase that leads nowhere.
Allow me a comparison. Let’s say Punaweb has a thread about the Best Thai Food in East Hawaii. One person insists they know the best, the absolute most ono Thai food outside of Bangkok. And they’ve done their research, eaten a ton of Thai food.
Someone else asks, what’s the name of the restaurant? They reply they can’t remember, but it was downtown Hilo somewhere, can’t remember the street either, but it’s certainly easy enough to find on The Google, or The AI. Then he’s pressed for a little more info, landmarks? Next to? But tells the questioner to buzz off, again use The Google, etc, etc.
This healthcare question has been a lot like that, no name, no link, and probably in the end no such plan.
