Thanks very much. When you say "build the platform," I assume it sits on something like a traditional 2x4 and plywood platform on pier blocks. Are these usually just crawl-space height? And then all the plumbing and electrical goes under there so that it's accessible.
One drawback to the structure in general I can think of is in terms of privacy, which might not matter to a couple/young family, but I'm wondering how older children would do in them. I'm guessing that the interior design is limited to partial-height walls, or can you wall the interior space into private rooms -- or is that kind of contradicting the yurt philosophy?
