Hawaiian acres (HACA ) does have the same problems you are referring to ,they have a board of directors that operates in secrecy , changing the meeting dates and times without informing the paying members. for the past several meetings the board members have threatened the paying members . threatened to kick them out for speaking up, or taking notes at the meetings. some of the board have been appointed . when the board is asked questions they become confrontational, refuse to answer questions on money expenditures. some of the board members do not even own a property in the subdivision, yet are working to change the by laws and dictate policy to the property owners. it is a situation that is upside down . the community and, property owners are loosing their community center to a take over group that is self serving , taking control of the building , and money with no accountability to the members. most recently the liability insurance was cancelled , that leaves the building and property owners at risk.
