lost patience with a Hawaiian "leadership" that can't bring itself to confront the extremist elements who are increasingly dominating all discourse on things Hawaiian
I find this statement offensive.
It is not the fault of the Hawaiians that our Western culture has forced them behave in this manner.
Look no further than the "extremist elements dominating all discourse" on GMOs, gay rights, marijuana legalization ... all the way down to the local level NIMBYs.
Can any of these groups sit down and have rational discussions that lead to compromise? No, they're all too busy filing legal action while waving flags for the media, because that's how things are done in America now.
