Contractor issues

The only way to do business with non-professional / unlicensed contractors is strictly COD.

If they want an 'advance' find out what materials they want to buy with it and buy it for them.

Never leave them to work alone until you have spent some time with them on the job and feel confident they know what they are doing.

That is just how it is.
